More expensive than before but Monty is doing an excellent job.
6) MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS:
There is always work to be done, but we are on top of it. New bulbs needed in large hall. Front windows need to be replaced, barge boards repainted, cupboard doors replaced.
7) GEORGE SMART COLLAGES:
Stolen in May along with the ‘’ Old Lady’’ painting.Insurers have paid. Jonathan Christie,
who has written a book on Smart , is having a frame made to contain photographs of the three collages and a narrative, to go in the large hall.
8) FRANT FILM:
Season 7 has just finished and season 8 is being prepared. Membership about 120, we all Need to try to recruit more.Important source of income for the Hall.
9) SECURITY:
Front door left open recently, could have insurance repercussions, if we had a theft.
10) ROAD SAFETY:
We are concerned about the traffic that speeds past the Hall. We have written to the
Parish Council who have discussed the problem. The trouble is the time it takes to get
anything done, probably years.Carmel said that the Parish Council were happy for a
removable warning sign to be put up, but who would be responsible and who would
do it? P.C. would help with the cost. Discussion about the use of a speed gun, can we get one? This all needs more thought and discussion.
