Frant Memorial Hall in now closed except for Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense.

Following the confirmation that Wealden, and therefore Frant, remains under Tier 4 restrictions Frant Memorial Hall will close until the Wealden Tier is reassessed and lowered by the Government. We are re-opening the hall on the 3rd August 2020.

While you have been away from us, we have had the Hall completely redecorated and we have to say it is looking splendid. With the present COVID-19 situation there are many guidelines we have to adhere to and changes that we need you to help us make. We have worked hard to make the Hall COVID 19 compliant and as safe a place as we can for you.

For our regular users you have all been sent a risk assessment form for completion. For one off and new users we are having the hall cleaned daily and the hall is Covid 19 compliant, with hand sanitisers together with extra cleaning products.

If you are thinking of hiring our hall please ensure you download and read the following two documents:

> Special conditions of hire during Covid 19

> Risk assessment form

The village of Frant has been described as one of the most charming and beautiful in East Sussex. Situated just over the border of Kent and only three miles from Tunbridge Wells, it is in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Frant Village Hall adds to all of this. Located at the top of Frant Village Green it enjoys extensive views to west Sussex and the Ashdown Forest. The pretty village of Frant boasts two Public Houses, The George and The Abergavenny Arms , St Albans Church and several shops. The main road skirts the Village of Frant leaving our High Street a haven of peace and calm.

The Memorial Hall was built in the 1920’s in memory of those who served in the First World War and was rededicated to include those from the Second World War. The building is very attractive, in the Arts and Crafts style, with an immaculate bowling green adjacent to the hall.

The large hall can seat 120 people and is a great venue for children’s and evening parties and weddings. It is used by many of our regular groups. Art, Cookery, Tunbridge Wells Flower Group, Yoga, Dance Classes, Frant film and Bowls clubs and many others. The large stage is used for annual productions produced and performed by Frant Drama Society.

The small hall accommodates Frant Nursery school in the mornings during term time, but is also a favorite for the smaller groups and meetings.  It has a bar and a hatch to the fully equipped kitchen, which is easily accessible from both halls. The toilets, including a disabled toilet, are all newly refurbished.

In fact, the whole building has been refurbished and modernised over the last few years, meeting all the requirements of hygiene, health and safety and is now a really attractive and well maintained venue for all our many varying events. It has a special “feel good factor.”

Words and pictures only tell part of the story. Do browse through our website, maybe join one of our user groups or hire it for a party, wedding or event. Frant Village Hall has many good times on offer in our warm, spacious and comfortable Memorial hall.
